Phoenix American Medical is a Medical Group that was established in 2017. Phoenix American Medical has 5 medical offices spread throughout Pasco, Hernando, and Hillsborough Counties. Within our offices, we have Board Certified physicians along with Nurse Practitioners, Medical Assistances and Support Staff. Our team of expert doctors is passionate about patient care. We set the bar high by providing a variety of services, free transportation, and exceptional care.

Abdominal Ultrasounds

This is a simple and safe procedure that is used to view the organs and structures within the abdomen. An ultrasound gel is applied to the abdomen, and a sensor records images of various organs such as the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, and the abdominal aorta. After the ultrasound is complete, we will set up a follow-up appointment, and the doctor will discuss the results with you at that time.

Anodyne Treatment

Anodyne Therapy is a noninvasive and painless infrared light treatment that is used to treat pain, numbness, and decreased circulation to both the hands and feet. We also use this form of treatment to increase nerve function and reduce stiffness and muscle spasms.

Blood Draws

Your doctor may want to order blood work for a variety of reasons. We have experienced phlebotomists who are able to draw blood in our offices, while keeping you as comfortable as possible throughout the whole process.

Bone Density Testing

Bone density tests are noninvasive and painless. The test is similar to an x-ray. It measures how much calcium and other bone minerals are present in your bone. This test is mainly used to diagnose osteoporosis-- a disorder where bones become very fragile and more likely to break.

Carotid Doppler

This is an imaging test that is a safe and painless. This allows your doctor to use ultrasound technology to evaluate the carotid arteries that are located in the neck. This test shows any narrowing or blockages in the neck that could be caused by plaque buildup in the arteries and indicates any risk of stroke.

Echocardiogram and EKG

These tests are both painless and have no side effects. An echocardiogram is an ultrasound of your heart’s chambers to examine the valves that are pumping blood to the heart. It is a common and non-invasive test that shows your heart’s rhythm and how the heart is functioning. An electrocardiogram, or EKG, records the electrical signal from your heart. This is used to screen patients for different heart conditions. Adhesive electrodes are placed on the chest to monitor the heart’s rhythm. This test is painless and can be completed within just a few minutes.

Holter Monitor

A Holter monitor is a small, wearable monitor that is used to measure your heart rhythm. Your doctor will give you a timeframe to wear the monitor. During this time, the monitor will record the heart’s rhythms. This information is recorded and later reviewed by your doctor to diagnose any heart rhythm issues.

Pulmonary Function Test

This is a noninvasive test to measure how well the lungs are functioning. This test provides specific data such as your lung capacity, lung volume, rates of flow and the gas exchange within the lungs. This test is conducted to diagnose or monitor certain lung disorders.

Stress Test

A stress test is ordered by your doctor to measure the hearts electrical rhythms. This test can be done one of two ways: exercise or nuclear. The exercise test is measured by an ECG that monitors your heart while you are exercising. During the nuclear test, medicine is administered that mimics the effect that exercise has on the heart. This test is ordered by your doctor to diagnose irregular heart rhythms or coronary artery disease.

Vascular Study

This noninvasive ultrasound measures the blood flow to your arteries and veins. This study is done to detect clots in the veins.
